Abstract: As one of major modes of modern logistics transportation,container shipping has become an indispensable part of global trade after decades of development. With the in-depth development of globalization and the continuous growth of the economy,the container shipping industry continues to grow,and the development of container ships also shows a trend of being larger,more economical,and more environmentally friendly. While pursuing economic benefits,container ships constantly break records of single-ship container capacity and are constantly being updated.This article aims to start from an objective perspective and reveal the changes and trends in ship construction,technological innovation and other aspects of ultra-large container ships through statistical analysis of relevant data and parameters of ultra-large container ships. Meanwhile,this article will also put forward practical prospects and suggestions for the construction of ultra-large container ships,in order to provide useful references and references for the future development of ultra-large container ships.
