Abstract: The safe distance between ships sailing in a line is calculated according to the conditions in the Arctic Sea ice area. The safety speed of the ships and the resistance to ships are analyzed based on the particulars of the ship Yongshun and compared with its navigational data records, which proves the spacing arrangement.
